Special Olympics Durham County

More than 200 athletes train year-round in 11 different sports and compete in local-, regional- and state-level events. Special Olympics Durham County partners with the City of Durham Parks and Recreation for use of facilities and equipment. Our offices are in the Edison Johnson Center on Murray Avenue, a Parks and Recreation facility.

In-School Special Olympics Training

School-aged youth, in self-contained classes for students with developmental disabilities are offered a variety of Special Olympic sports options. Information will be disseminated throughout the school system. Contact Kristen Randall 560-1301 for more information.
